Dear Library Patrons,


We are delighted to have you back inside the library! Thank you for your support and  continued observation of our safety guidelines. With the exception of a change in occupancy restriction, those same guidelines will remain in place for the safety of one another. They are appear below for reference. 

Our hours remain the same:


M/R 1:00-7:00

T/W 10:00-5:00

F     10:00-3:00

Sat   8:00-3:00


We are excited to announce a return to some in-person programming for both children and adults!

  • For the month of March, children's ABC and STEAM Storytimes will take place at the Prospect Borough Building, located at 159 Monroe Street, Prospect, PA.

  • Elementary Explorers will continue to take place via YouTube.

  • Teen Advisory Board Meetings and Movie Nights will take place at the library.

  • Adult Book Club and Bookends Meetings will take place at the library. 

  • Adult Craft Night will continue on a Grab & Go basis

We look forward to resuming Cookbook Club outdoors once the weather is suitable. Adult Craft Night, Elementary Explorers, and Storytimes will also move to an outdoor format once weather permits.

Curbside service remains available for anyone preferring contactless service.

COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

  • Masks must be worn inside the library. Anyone unable or unwilling to wear a mask is more than welcome to take advantage of curbside service.

  • Staff and patrons must use hand sanitizer before handling materials.

  • Capacity will be reduced to permit a maximum of 8 patrons inside the library at one time, unless a family has greater than 8 members.

  • Staff and patrons must maintain a distance of 6 feet from one another at all possible times.

  • Computer usage will be limited to 30 minutes per patron per day.

  • ALL items for return must be deposited in the outdoor book drop. Returned items will continue to be sanitized and quarantined, then backdated to their drop-off date upon check-in.

  • Staff will continue to practice increased safety measures, including temperature checks, regular hand washing, and monitoring of symptoms.


Curbside service will continue to be available to anyone preferring that method.
